Meet the Milton team

Jesper, along with Marianne, got the idea for Milton’s universe in 2018. He wishes he hadn’t. Because now, he works around the clock to convince the world to stop everything and fall in love with an adventurous, white rabbit. Jesper is very enthusiastic, as in VERY, whether he is talking to booksellers, teachers, ministers or other hotshots. His hardworking and compelling nature means that Milton Around the World has been traveling at rocket speed since the initial tiny thought. Marianne is Milton’s ‘mother’. She is the creative power behind the Milton project. It’s not always easy to follow what goes on behind the (relatively) gentle exterior, but out of nowhere Marianne has created a whole new world of endearing and sympathetic characters, not unlike Tolkien. Who else comes up with the idea that hedgehog noses vibrate when they are excited? Milton and Marianne are BFF’s, because she understands his curious approach to life and its challenges better than anyone. Thor has boarded the Milton train, and his most important role is to pick up speed when it comes to the development of Milton’s digital universe. As the new CTO, he will help to create an exciting EdTech learning platform that takes Milton and all schoolchildren into the many possibilities of the future. Thor is passionate about learning and knowledge and wants to see it reach all the corners of the world through digital implementations. That’s why he fits in super well with Milton’s team of passionate nerds who share the same goal – to make the world smarter by educating the youngest citizens of the world in an innovative and entertaining way. Jawarhar is Milton’s super experienced business friend. Jawarhar is an Indian-born Danish national who has been residing in Denmark for over four decades. He has considerable experience with projects alongside internationally reputed architects in Denmark, Germany, USA, Greenland, Middle East, Saudi, India, and Bhutan – countries Milton is looking forward to visiting on his global journeys. Jawarhar is the ex-chairman of Indian Danish Chamber of Commerce and will work day and night to use his excellent network to establish new partnerships to ensure Milton truly gets Around the World.

Anja is a first-rate story enthusiast and Milton’s new school ambassador. With all her experience from physical exercise education, she creates assignments for the children with both body, movement and lots of imagination. Along with Milton, she takes the children by the hand and prepares them with educational assignments that make the students everyday Global Goal heroes. Anja quickly became friends with curious Milton, because they both enjoy nature and long walks – so you can be sure that all the assignments in Milton’s learning universe will grow wild and far.
She is the co-owner of Historietosserne with Michael Bonde, where she creates teaching materials based on both the individual student and the community.

Michael, like Anja, is a first-rate story enthusiast and Milton’s new school ambassador. With all his experience as playwright and pedagogical assistant, he creates assignments for the children with both drama and concentration. Along with Milton, he takes the children by the hand and prepares them with educational assignments that make the students everyday Global Goal heroes. Michael quickly became friends with adventurous Milton, because they are both curious about numbers and rebuses – so you can be sure that all the assignments in Milton’s learning universe are turned up high and cover a lot of ground.
He is the co-owner of Historietosserne with Anja Sørensen, where he creates teaching materials based on both the individual student and the community.

Like everyone else on the team, Vibeke got at severe case of the Milton fever after being introduced to the universe. It is Vibeke who makes the stories inviting to look at and read. With a secure hand on the mouse, she sets up text and illustrations so they are presented in the best way imaginable to the curious children, who will enjoy and learn from the stories. But there are many other tasks that need to be done, such as posters, flyers and other materials, when every other day you get a frantic call about Milton going to a fair, festival, school visit and various other events.

Lykke is the one who gives Milton a visual life with her empathetic and expressive illustrations. She has taken Marianne’s vision and created Milton, Amanda, Conrad and all the other exciting characters in the Milton universe as we know them today. Lykke possesses an exceptional patience, which is important when you are bombarded with new ideas and directions from the author all the time. She also creates illustrations for social media use in record time. And the result always exceeds expectations. No one else can capture Milton and the other character’s expressions as accurately and charmingly as Lykke.

Sabina is the one who spreads the message about Milton’s universe by creating content for the website, social media etc. in the form of text, pictures and videos. She finds the little stories inside the big stories and tries to convince everyone to get acquainted with Milton and his friends. At Sabina’s house, it is not unusual to see Christmas trees in September, Sustainable Development Goals on the wall or furniture moved around to make room for a Milton photoshoot. And if you see a grown woman in the airport or at the train station with a big plush rabbit sticking out of her backpack, it’s probably Sabina with her favorite travel buddy.
